About Us :)

We wanted to create a blog because we love what we do. We photograph engagements, weddings, maternity, newborn and many more of life's events. So we created this blog to share with you the events we photograph and share the fun of planning our own wedding! We will post our own event photography and some photography that inspires us!

So here we are...20 years later, from playing in the sandbox together to building a photography business...oh and we're engaged! David tells our history perfectly..So here you go everyone!

You could not pull these girls away from Robert and I, but somehow that happened and an unforgivable 10-12 years went by without seeing them as we lost touch and had no idea where they were.

A couple years ago, my mother was on Facebook and found the oldest sister Krista!  How time flies, last we saw her she was in that costume and now graduated from college and with a full time job.  We knew we had to meet ASAP!  We met at a local restaurant a couple nights later where we shared laughs, reconnected, and realized why we were such good friends for so long!

Brittany and I began emailing all the time!  I found out she was really into photography and we talked about artists, what intrigued us, and soon began taking pictures together, sitting on the lawn looking at the sky, going on little road trips, and slowly falling in love.
The next couple of months were filled with change.  I spent 5 months at Brittany and her sister's house while working in Stamford with a furniture designer, we went on our first vacations together in Cape Cod, on a Cruise, and started working together on photo shoots, and in the kitchen making the most delicious meals!  I knew I didn't want to lose her family again, so I enlisted in some help from one of my biggest mentors I've had in my life, my godmother.

My godmother, Gail Osgood, was the most incredible woman and growing up was there through my sports games, hockey camp, photography lessons, schooling, graduation, and was there for advice whenever I needed it.  She is a huge part of why I am the person I am today.  She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a couple years ago and sadly it developed into stage 4 terminal cancer this past year.  I knew I wanted to include her in my special day.

I brought Brittany up to Maine where Gail lived with her two daughters, and after an extensive photography lessons and good conversation, she led Brittany and I to the beach where she surprised Brittany(of course I knew about it) with a LL Bean cooler with my last name monogramed on the front.  She told us to go find a special spot and enjoy each other's company.  We found a rock on the beach next to the Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse and opened our cooler to find red wine, cheese, veg and hummus, a tablecloth and glasses, everything I needed to make the moment perfect.  Thanks Gail.

I brought Brittany down to the water, looked at her, and kneeled down in the waves and proposed while getting wet from the waist down.  What a moment.  After enjoying the rest of the picnic Gail packed for us, we went back to let Brittany show off the ring and celebrate some more.  My Godmother died exactly a month later.

"This ring represents so many things...David is not one to walk into a jeweler and pick out a ring. He designed this one just for me, to fit my style." B-
Our journey to this point has been exciting, unpredictable, scary at some points with disappointments and sadness, inspirational and full of energy, and so much more.  If I have anything to give you as a reader to take away from this, it is to enjoy every moment, from making your toast in the morning, to listening and singing to that favorite song on the radio when it comes on.  I find so many people who aren't happy because they fail to see life around them, the beautiful shapes the clouds are making in the sky, and the smile on the person's face next to you.  Brittany has helped me slow down and enjoy these moments and looking back to the pictures of us as kids, it made me think about how we used to have this curiosity about life, this eagerness to enjoy, live, celebrate, and find out who we are!  Now more than ever we rely on social media and other people to tell us who we should be.  Live confidently, with no regret, and if you do regret learn from it and move on!  Gail put her situation aside to still talk about everything she loved about life!  She gave, gave, and gave and never expected to receive anything in return.  People who wait will find that nothing will ever come to them.  Find that power within yourself and cherish and enjoy everything now!

We like to think of ourselves as very...very serious people.... :)

Here we are growing up with his brother Robert and my two wonderful sisters, Krista & Kaylin.
