Wedding Guest Book Alternatives!

Guest books are a great way to bless the couple and send lots of wishes and love their way! But who wants to sign a book anymore! After researching for my own wedding, I have come up with a bunch of FUN ideas that are different from the traditional guest book. Which idea is your favorite?!

I love this idea of having your friends and family sign a calendar because I don't know about you but I cannot remember people's birthdays...So this is a fun way to put up in your new house and have a great way of remembering who came to your wedding!!

Stones I thought was a fun idea because we are very outdoors-y...I think this would be awesome to place all the signed rocks in a big vase!

Of course being photographers we are going to have something fun like this! Taking a picture and signing the back! This would be awesome to place in to a HUGE collage!

Definitely think this is an awesome idea. The finished product would look amazing with all of the colors and the fingerprints of everyone who came to support you at your wedding!

We saw this at the last wedding we photographed! They printed out a canvas of themselves and left room around the picture for guests to sign!

 Love the tree stump idea!

Okay, hope you all enjoyed my ideas that I wanted to share! :)

So as you all may know already, my Fiance is a Personal Trainer. His blog is amazing, everyone should follow! davidmartincpt.blogspot.com

Okay back to business. I found an awesome article in "Real Simple" magazine.

*Here is a wonderful idea to make fun out of all this exercise we are doing*

We all want to look fabulous for our "BIG DAY!!!" but sometimes we lack those important kitchen wisdom tips!

Well here we go!

1.Spinach is BRAIN FOOD! (feed that brain) It is LOADED  with folate and beta-carotene!

2. "You should eat only when you're hungry" ..............I am sure we have all heard that one before, but do we really understand what they are really trying to say? Probably not. Here it is broken down so we all understand. We should typically be eating every four to six hours. TRACK YOUR TIMES! It sometimes help to look at the hours you are eating and what you're eating that makes you hungry before those 4-6 hours are up. Try it for a week and read back your results to yourself!

3. Eat less bananas and more fruit! Most people think that bananas are at the top of the most wanted list...but really, berries are! So get those berries!!

4. Carrots! lots of vitamin A

5. "Eat breakfast like a king lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper" Need I explain? Try this strategy for a week!

6. If you want a snack late at night...snack small people

7. Finally, "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away" Literally after my finance read this quote he hasn't stopped eating apples! But instead of eating apples all day, make a variety of it!

OKAY, I hope you enjoyed these little tips and tricks! Happy Fitness and Happy Eating!

10 Best Fitness Foods For Women!

This article is one I HAD to share....from Women's Health Magazine!

"10 Best Fitness Foods For Women"

http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/best-fitness-food

Avocados
The cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fat in these green health bombs can help keep your body strong and pain free. University of Buffalo researchers found that competitive women runners who ate less than 20 percent fat were more likely to suffer injuries than those who consumed at least 31 percent. Peter J. Horvath, Ph.D., a professor at the university, speculates that the problem is linked to extreme low-fat diets, which weaken muscles and joints. "A few slices of avocado a day are a great way to boost fat for women who are fat shy," says Leslie Bonci, R.D., director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Bananas
Thanks to bananas' high potassium content, peeling one is a speedy solution to that stitch in your side. While a lack of sodium is the main culprit behind muscle cramps, studies show potassium plays a supporting role: You need it to replace sweat losses and help with fluid absorption. Bananas are also packed with energizing carbohydrates. One medium-size fruit has 400 milligrams of potassium and as many carbs (29 grams) as two slices of whole-wheat bread.
Berries
USDA researchers recently placed fresh berries on their list of the 20 foods richest in antioxidants. Just a handful of blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries is an excellent source of these potent nutrients, which protect muscles from free radical damage that might be caused by exercise. Shop for berries by the shade of their skin: The deeper the color, the healthier the fruit.
Carrots
Close your eyes and they almost taste like crunchy candy. Carrots pack complex carbs that provide energy to muscles and potassium to control blood pressure and muscle contractions, says Leslie Bo.
Whole Grain Cereal
Looking for something to nosh before you hit the gym? Raid your cereal stash. The healthiest brands contain endurance-boosting complex carbs and muscle-building protein. Sixty minutes before a workout, fuel up with a 200-calorie snack: ¾ cup of whole-grain cereal with 4 ounces of fat-free milk. "When you eat something before exercising, you have more energy, so you can work out harder and perhaps longer. And you'll be less likely to overeat afterward," says Leslie Bonci, R.D.
Chicken Thighs
Skimp on iron and zinc and your energy will flag. Cooking up some juicy chicken thighs or turkey drumsticks is the best way to get more of both. "Dark-meat poultry is significantly lower in fat than red meat yet has all the iron, zinc, and B vitamins that women need in their diets," says Seattle sports nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D., author of Power Eating.
Hummus
Complex carbohydrates, protein, and unsaturated fats—all the right elements to fuel activity—meet in one healthy little 70-calorie, 3-tablespoon package. Plus, hummus is often made with olive oil, which contains oleic acid—a fat that helps cripple the gene responsible for 20 to 30 percent of breast cancers, according to Northwestern University researchers.
Eggs
Don't skip the yolk. One egg a day supplies 215 milligrams of cholesterol—not enough to push you over the 300-milligram daily cholesterol limit recommended by the American Heart Association. Plus, the yolk is a good source of iron, and it's loaded with lecithin, critical for brain health, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. What does brain power have to do with exercise? Try doing a sun salutation without it.
Chocolate Milk
There's way more to milk than just calcium. In fact, it's a damn near perfect food, giving you a lot of valuable energy while keeping your calorie count low, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. The chocolate kind is loaded with calcium, vitamins, and minerals just like the plain stuff, but new studies confirm that milk with a touch of cocoa is as powerful as commercial recovery drinks at replenishing and repairing muscles.
Salmon
Great for heart health, but here's an added twist: New studies are suggesting that monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fats might help lessen abdominal fat. It's too soon to understand the link, but "this could be particularly good for women working to tone their core," says nutritionist

Colors of the rainbow! RED!!

Red..

           love...passion..togetherness...devotion...

Red is the most elegant color, we believe.

Love these photos below that we found on Pinterest! Follow Brittany here: http://pinterest.com/brittanyrugs/

Finger prints as a "save the date" or the front of a "thank you" card...really cool idea!

I think diamonds go well with red...

Ideas for an extravagant wedding...using this bold and bright centerpieces.

Such a simple idea. Using vases from the Dollar Store...Add rose petals and a candle!

This is something that I really want to do for our wedding. After the nail salon with all of the bridal party, love it!
LOVE THIS CAKE! So many amazing colors incorporated into this wedding cake!

Okay this is pretty awesome. This would definitely be an awesome aisle to walk down!

Colors of the Rainbow: Yellow!

Oh Yellow...

...intellect, the mind, confidence, optimism, joy and happiness are just a few of the words that represent the color yellow.

Certainly our most favorite color!

A wedding we did that Yellow was their main color. Definitely made our photographs POP!
One of our favorite parts of the wedding was the creativity of the centerpieces. Jennifer and John used FULL lemons in the vases! They looked amazing, bright and added so much energy to the room!

The Bridesmaids wore black, making the yellow pop even more...LOVED IT!

Above is a sky shot David took.

We hope you get inspired!
