Colors of the Rainbow! Orange

While building ideas for our wedding. We thought it would be fun to develop a post for each color of the rainbow and ideas that go with that color. So here we begin, in no particular order...ORANGE!

Orange is such a vibrant color that is very easy to work with. It is fun using orange as the main color or using bright pink, purple or blue as well!

Above is a wedding David and I photographed in June and they used orange as their main color but added a pop of yellow.
They used song lyrics to guide the guests to their tables and on each table was a record with with lyrics! Very cool idea.

Here are the Bridesmaids (zoomed in for clear view of flowers).

These next two photos are ideas I found while researching ideas for a possible orange wedding!

Happy Thursday! Flowers Galore

"Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder." -Rumi

Along with photographing the emotion of the couple, flowers that the couple chooses express unspoken characters about the couple. Here are some shots that we took that we love!

Everyone loves a little quote...

Quotes always bring me to a peace of mind. They help when I am unmotivated, motivated, stressed, confused, happy, struggling, dancing on the stars, confident and many more of moods. What is your favorite one?

Wedding Ideas that I love!

Okay so with my serious addiction to Pinterest, I will post some daily wedding ideas that I love and want to spread the word! Share some of your thoughts and ideas!

Using the table numbers to add a fun fact about that table number! So many ideas come to mind with this awesome idea.

David & Myself LOVE nature. So incorporating tree stumps into each of your center pieces is a great way to be unique!

Puzzle Pieces as the cake topper! Ah, I love it!

Another D.I.Y idea for your wedding...using an old mailbox, writing a message on the mailbox for your guests to leave their cards for you!

I don't know about you BUT I am able to wear heals for about 10 minutes. Definitely love this idea of DIY dazzled converse for the reception!! :)

This is such a cute idea for a Bridal Shower. Using cupcakes as a "pull apart" cake for the Bridal shower. Great idea for all of you bride and groom bakers!

Will use this idea at our wedding. Adding a special touch for those who are unable to be there on your special day...
Who doesn't love a personal mini margarita during the middle of their reception?! LOVE IT!

Using your fingerprints as a save the date, thank-you card or any other idea...Adds a special touch.

Okay, hope you all enjoyed.

So Brittany is addicted to Pinterest...

Hi Everyone! Okay, a little confession to make...I am addicted to Pinterest. But I am not to blame, Pinterest is. They have an ever flowing amount of new ideas...everyday...and you of course need to check it out to make sure you are not missing out on these amazing ideas. David and I have attempted to follow some of the recipes posted on the site that we love but trust me, they do not come out perfect on your first try.

So here it is: https://pinterest.com/brittanyrugs/

I post an absurd amount a day and should probably tone it down.

ENJOY! :)

Here are a few from that day...

John and Jennifer 2012

John and Jennifer.... GO STEELERS!

This was an awesome couple to work with. Jennifer is a very laid back, easy going Bride and John, throughout the entire wedding, had the biggest smile on his face.

The Church was extremely special to this couple. Over 50 years ago, Jennifer's parents got married in this church. Such an amazing opportunity to share this experience with them!

Love this shot.

The Wedding Party was wonderful to shoot with!

Just got married! Congratulations!

We had the opportunity to go up to the balcony to sneak some amazing sky shots of them!

The corks from their wedding and their amazing rings!

Jennifer's Father is a wonderful man. He spoke the world of Jenn and this picture is one of our favorites...

John and Jennifer, we hope you have a wonderful life together. You both deserve it! Congratulations again!

Robyn and Stacy 2012

Where do we begin with Robyn and Stacy...

This couple's wedding was beautiful, full of so much energy and such a blessing to be apart of. Although Robyn and Stacy have known David for many years from acting, meeting the couple myself for the first time was as if I knew them for a decade. They define a true match.

Above is a shot that Brittany took. She captures with a photo journalistic eye. To her this image speaks a thousand words. On the left is the Bride Stacy's Father and to the right is her now Husband Robyn.

This is one of MANY of our favorites from that day. Robyn having a blast with Stacy's Bridesmaids and flower girl.

Stacy's bouquet was breathtaking...

Robyn with his awesome Best Men.

Their rings were very unique, we needed to grab a close up!

Love this picture we took. They had amazing music being preformed throughout their wedding!

The Men of the wedding! Looking great guys!!

Robyn & Stacy,

Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
